Cochin

Day 01

On arrival at Cochin Airport our friendly representative will meet you in person and will transfer you to Hotel in Cochin. Kochi (Cochin) is situated on the west coast of India in the beautiful state of Kerala. Kochi can be regarded as the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala Kochi is known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea and the Queen of the Adriatic.

Kochi earned a significant position on the world trading routes after the world famous port at Kodugallur (Cranganore) was destroyed by massive flooding of the river Periyar in 1340 AD. Records show that Kodugallur was known to the Arabs and Chinese traders for centuries. After the Kodugallur port was destroyed, the forces of nature created the harbour at the nearby city – Kochi. Kochi then started to grow and soon developed into a major trading point dealing in pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, etc. which were and still are famous for their quality.

Cochin City Tour

Day 02

After breakfast depart for half-day city tour of Cochin visiting Jewish synagogue, the Dutch palace, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets at work. Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the environs of your hotel or you can take leisure walk through world famous Fort Kochi. Overnight at Cochin.

Cochin - THEKKADY

Day 03

After break from the hotel, drive to Thekkady. Check in to your hotel. Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar wildlife sanctuary is one of the best in India for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters. Later depart on board the cruise boat and watch the animals in their natural surroundings while cruising on Lake Periyar. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Periyar/Thekkady

Thekkady - KUMARAKOM

Day 04

After breakfast leave for Kumarakom. Check into hotel. Kumarakom ,an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting watch ways and canals adorned with white lilies. . The melting sun has painted the horizons in orange and crimson hues. Clad in the soft warmth of the golden yellow rays, the placid backwaters reveal the effervescent nature in all its true glory. At a distance, the dark silhouettes of the coconut palms are seen dancing to the rhythms of the gentle breeze. Overnight at Kumarakom.

Kumarakom - Varkala

Day 05

After breakfast proceed to Varkala. Check in to your hotel. Varkala, the latest hot – spot destination in Kerala, Varkala is must for those who prefer to do absolutely nothing while holidaying. Towering cliffs that stand like silent sentinels, guarding the sparkling waters, back the beach. Highly unusual land formations, the sheerness of the cliffs, and the view from atop, simply astound the visitors. Shining white sands, cloudless skies touching the blue water and the red soil of the hilltop, coupled with yellow-green paddy fields, and green coconut trees, make a composite picture of the beauty and awesomeness of nature.

Afternoon visiting Janardhanaswamy Temple, a famous 2000 year-old temple
2000 year old Vishnu temple and the Ashramam- ‘Sivagiri Mutt’ a little distance from the beach. Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the environs of your hotel. Overnight at Varkala. for handicrafts. Rest of the day is at leisure. Over night in Kovalam.

Varkala - Kovalam

Day 06

After breakfast transfer to Kovalam. Check in to your hotel. Kovalam, This enchanting strip of golden sands is laced with the rich greenery of coconut palms. A former fishing village, Kovalam is just 16 Kms away from Trivandrum. Over the past three decades, the place has been well developed, and now figures prominently on the world tourism map.
Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the environs of your hotel. Overnight at Kovalam.

Trivandrum City Tour

Day 07

After breakfast leave for Trivandrum morning city tour. Trivandrum, Located at the southwestern tip of India, Thiruvananthapuram district is bounded by the Arabian Sea in the west and Tamil Nadu in the east. The wooded highlands in the Western Ghats in the eastern and northern border. In Trivandrum visiting Padmanabha Swamy Temple, the Napier Museum, Sree Chitra Art Gallery, the Horse Palace and the Institute

Departure

Day 08

Breakfast from the hotel. Later leave for air port to connect on to your flight for onward journey.

Alleppey - Kovalam

Day 09

Next morning, stroll down the beautiful beaches of Kovalam followed by journey to Cape Camorin. Do not miss the magnificent Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archeological museum. You must drive back to Kovalam by evening and take rest.

Kovalam -Trivandrum

Day 10

Explore the beautiful city of Trivandrum having great tourist attractions, such as Padmanabhaswami temple. Later transfer to airport to connect your flight for airport .Your Kerala tour Itinerary comes to end.
